Thank you so much for supporting Gentle Confections! Every order, class, and private party is thoughtfully prepared with love, creativity, and a whole lot of butter 😊 Please take a moment to review the following terms and policies before booking.

Payment + Booking Policies​
Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise discussed in writing.
If you are granted a “Save My Date” option for a future event date, the $50 reservation fee will be applied toward your final invoice. Save My Date fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Invoices must be paid by the listed due date. Unpaid invoices may be canceled and future availability cannot be guaranteed.

Pickup Policies
Baked goods are best enjoyed fresh!​
Pickup times are selected when placing your order. Please arrive during your scheduled pickup window.​
No-show pickups forfeit the order without refund.​
Failure to pick up your order during the agreed pickup time forfeits your order without refund.​
Need to reschedule your pickup? No problem! Please contact me at least 24 hours before your scheduled pickup time and I’ll do my best to accommodate a new arrangement.​
I completely understand that emergencies happen. If something unexpected comes up, please reach out as soon as possible so we can discuss options together.

Cancellation + Refund Policies
Because Gentle Confections immediately begins planning, scheduling, purchasing ingredients, and preparing custom materials specifically for your order or event, all sales are final, including private parties, classes, and corporate/group bookings.

Refunds are not offered for:

cancellations

no-shows
-
guest count reductions
-
schedule conflicts
-
illness
-
weather-related absences
-
forgotten pickups

Credits toward future orders or classes may occasionally be offered at Gentle Confections’ discretion but are never guaranteed.
If an issue arises with your order, uneaten cookies/items must be returned within 24 hours so I may assess the situation and troubleshoot any concerns. Refunds or future credits, if offered, remain solely at the discretion of Gentle Confections.

Private Party Policies
Private party dates are reserved on a first come, first served basis and are not officially secured until payment has been received.
For standard private parties where guests register individually through Gentle Confections:
• all guest ticket sales are final
• tickets are non-refundable
• guests may transfer their ticket to a friend with advance notice
For events where registrations and payments are managed outside of Gentle Confections, a non-refundable guaranteed minimum guest-count retainer is required to reserve the event date.
The required minimum retainer amount will be communicated during the booking process and applied toward the final event balance.
Because Gentle Confections reserves calendar availability, staffing, venue coordination, and production capacity specifically for your event, retainer payments are non-refundable and non-transferable under all circumstances.
Final guaranteed guest count and remaining balance are due 14 days prior to the event date.
Once the final attendance count is confirmed and invoiced, the reserved guest count cannot be reduced or increased.
Unused cookie kits may be picked up after the event if attendance is lower than the confirmed reserved guest count.

Venue Partner Policies​
Some Gentle Confections classes and private parties are hosted at third-party venue partner locations.
Venue food and beverage minimums, room reservation fees, or venue-specific policies are determined by the venue itself and are separate from Gentle Confections pricing.
Guests are responsible for complying with all venue requirements associated with the reserved event space.

Delivery + Shipping Policies
All standard custom orders are pickup only.
Once your order has been picked up, Gentle Confections is no longer responsible for damages caused during transportation, storage, or handling.
Occasionally, shipping within the state of Texas may be offered in compliance with Texas Cottage Food Laws.
While every effort is made to package cookies safely for travel, broken cookies are a non-refundable risk assumed by the customer when requesting shipping.
Shipping delays caused by USPS, weather, or carrier issues are outside of Gentle Confections’ control and are not eligible for refunds.
Once tracking information has been provided, lost package claims must be handled directly through USPS.

Order Minimums​
Tier 1 and Printed Cookie orders require a minimum of 1 dozen cookies.
Tier 2 and Tier 3 custom orders require a minimum of 2 dozen cookies.

Order Changes​
Decisions are tough... I totally get it!
Order changes may be requested up to 14 days before your pickup/event date.
After that time, change requests may still be considered but cannot be guaranteed. Additional fees may apply depending on the nature of the requested changes and will be communicated and agreed prior to the change.

Design Inspiration​
Thank you for sending inspiration photos and ideas! They are incredibly helpful for understanding the overall style and vision you love.
While your cookies may not be exact replicas of another artist’s work, Gentle Confections will always do its best to incorporate your favorite design elements and create something beautiful and unique for your event.

Rush Orders​
Last-minute magic is sometimes possible 😊
Orders placed with less than 7 days notice may require a rush fee ranging from $20–$100 depending on the size, complexity, and turnaround time requested.
Rush availability is never guaranteed.

Pricing Adjustments​
All pricing is subject to change until your invoice has been paid in full.
Ingredient costs, supply costs, and market conditions may occasionally require pricing adjustments. (Sadly, butter prices don’t seem interested in staying put 😂)

Product Photography​
Say cheese!
Gentle Confections may photograph orders, classes, and events for use on social media, marketing materials, and the website portfolio.
If you prefer your order not be photographed or shared online, please let me know before your event or pickup date.

Allergy + Gluten-Friendly Information​
Gentle Confections operates under the Texas Cottage Food Law in a shared home kitchen environment.
Products may contain or come into contact with common allergens including:

eggs

nuts

While gluten-friendly options may occasionally be offered using gluten-free ingredients, products are prepared in a shared kitchen environment and Gentle Confections cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free space.
Customers with severe allergies should use personal discretion before consuming products.

Cottage Food Law Notice​
This food is made in a home kitchen and is not inspected by the Department of State Health Services or a local health department.

Right to Refuse or Cancel Orders​
Gentle Confections reserves the right to refuse or cancel orders that:

do not fit within scheduling availability
-
exceed production capacity
-
contain inappropriate content requests
-
cannot reasonably be completed within the requested timeline

In the rare event Gentle Confections must cancel due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances, customers may receive:

a rescheduled date
-
class credit
-
or a refund at Gentle Confections’ discretion
